I think the vintage style is beautiful and I am trying to incorporate it more into my style. Whether it’s hair or apparel, I love it all.
However, when I try to find reference photos by searching “Chinese vintage,” there isn’t much variety in the results.
Luckily, there are many inspirational creators on Instagram. Here are some of my favorite accounts to get style inspiration from.
Bakularamayana is based in Japan and her feed has clothes from different decades.
She has some photos with apparel inspired by ancient China and a variety of hairdressing.
Béais a Taiwanese content-creator based in Paris.
Her content is mainly poster recreations and looks inspired by the 1930s through the 1960s.
Keira is a Hong Kong pinup.
She recreates looks inspired by characters like Rizzo and Sandy from “Grease” and Margot from “The Royal Tenenbaums.”
The hairstyling on her account is incredible!
I can spend hours scrolling through Molly’s feed. All the looks are absolute perfection. The clothes, hair, makeup, accessories and styling are goals.
Suzanne Lim is a Malaysian content creator.
She is a fan of ’30s to ’50s fashions and recreates old advertisements.
Lin’s content is super elegant and inspired by the 1910s through the 1980s.
Lily Holiday is a Melbourne-based creator.
Her feed is so aesthetically pleasing.
