Chinese hot pot, or 火锅 (hǒu guō), is a meal where diners surround a pot of soup, with various raw ingredients surrounding the pot. Some ingredients include beef, shrimp and rice noodles. There are sometimes even more exotic ingredients like crab sticks! 

As implied by its name, Chinese hot pot is a staple food to eat in the winter. As the northern half of the world is in the middle of winter, the number of hot pot meals is steadily increasing too.
